Biking on Streets
Use hand signals to change lane: (1) if you want to turn left (2) if you want to turn right (using left arm) (3) if you want to turn right (using right arm) (4) if you want to stop. ![]() You must obey all traffic signals and stop signs. ![]() You must ride in a traffic lane at least 4 feet away from parked vehicles to avoid the "door zone". ![]() Some areas prohibited ride on sidewalks. Avoid them unless they were marked as a bike route. ![]() Other road users are not looking for cyclist riding the wrong way. Please never ride against traffic. |
