Safeway Driving School

Safeway Driving School has provided quality driver's education in Minnesota for over 34 years. We provide classroom and behind-the-wheel lessons for teens, as well as driving lessons for adults. Our goal is to educate our students to become safe and skillful drivers.

Safeway Driving School teaches over 1,700 students each year. Our 20 licensed instructors include several licensed school teachers and four former State driving examiners. Safeway's owners, Jim and Cindy Thienes, are also licensed instructors.

Safeway is dedicated to providing a professional level of service in both the classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction. Our curriculum has been reviewed and approved by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. Our vehicles are regularly inspected and maintained to ensure safety.

Safeway is fully insured, bonded and licensed by the State of Minnesota. Safeway is a member of the Driving Schools of America Association.
